Nearly 100 Elkhorn High School students attended last week Thursday’s lunch and learn with Lozier’s Principal Engineer New Product Technologies Jeff Swanson. The students in Elkhorn, a suburb of Omaha, learned about Lozier, manufacturing and career opportunities as an Engineer.
Swanson said the event was a great way to put Lozier’s name out there in front of students, who may well be future Lozier employees.
“Investing the future technical workers is something that I and Lozier have always believed in,” Swanson said. “The students showed a great amount of interest, sending me more than 100 questions ahead of time, along with asking around 10 while I was with them.”
While the event took place at Elkhorn North High School, the lunch Q&A event was also streamed live to Elkhorn High School and Elkhorn South. Swanson will present to more Omaha students at North High School Engineering program this coming spring semester.
