Jaida Finley is always proud to share her success story with the Council Bluffs Schools’ Trade Works Academy, but Monday marked the opportunity to encourage the next generation of skilled trade students.
Finley visited Woodrow Wilson Middle School in Council Bluffs for the facility’s Career Day. Lozier was one of 20 industry partners at the school, with Finley representing the Career & Education Pathway of welding. A graduate of Wilson Middle School, Finley works as a welder in NP2 FAB welding through Iowa’s Youth Registered Apprentice program and is due to graduate from Thomas Jefferson High School this May.
Finley was joined at Monday’s event with Community Outreach & Engagement Manager Ralph Kleinsmith, who shared professional insight of his own while rewarding active participation with Lozier swag. In addition to the dozens of students who visited the table, a number of teachers stopped by to chat with and congratulate Finley on her professional accomplishments.
