In its second year, the employee-led Lozier Community Grant program supported 50 nonprofit organizations across the country. Recipients were selected by employee committees in all five Lozier locations. Over the next couple of months, the recipient organizations’ stories of impact will be shared on LozierLink.
The 2024 Lozier Community Grant applications are now open through May 31.
Keep Omaha Beautiful has worked to educate and engage the community to be environmental stewards, ensuring that the city remains well-kept, clean and beautiful. Through its educational programming, its three focus areas are: Trees for Schools, Youth Focused Environmental Education and Teacher Training Workshops and Environmental Education Related Coaching.
The support Keep Omaha Beautiful received from the Lozier Community Grants will impact its school-based programming and events in the community, showing more than 4,000 students and 1,000 adults what it means to be environmental stewards. The funding allows Keep Omaha Beautiful to continue to offer its education services to schools and educators at no cost.
The next big thing for the organization is to expand its curriculum and resources, as well as offer them in Spanish, reaching more people in Omaha. Continued funding of its programs allows Keep Omaha Beautiful to impact more than 8,000 people every year, raising environmental stewards to keep Omaha’s urban areas clean and sustainable for everyone.
