In its third year, the employee-led Lozier Community Grant program supported 57 nonprofit organizations across the country in 2024. Recipients were selected by employee committees in all five Lozier locations.
These are the 2024 recipient organizations’ stories of impact shared on LozierLink.
The Central Pennsylvania Clinic’s dental facility is almost complete. With its second year of funding from Lozier Community Grants, the Belleville, PA, clinic will put the final touches in the space in the form of cabinets. With great progress since the clinic’s first Lozier Community Grant that went toward installing the flooring, the space has transformed from framing to a facility that should open in the coming months.
“About three years ago, we started planning the project and we really are looking forward to being able to help the Amish, children especially, get their teeth treated,” Executive Director Louise Byler said. “Grants like Lozier’s help us continue to offer our services and make care more affordable for our clients.”
Specializing in treating genetic disorders among the Amish community, the clinic is one of seven nationwide. Care is provided at low cost to remove that barrier of seeking care. Byler hopes that offering dental care to the Amish and the larger community will provide education and promote a healthier approach to dental hygiene.
