Students Set to Tour Lozier’s Operations After Omaha Area School Visits Promoting Manufacturing

A pair of school visits this week resulted in students interested in visiting Lozier’s operations to learn more about the company and industry.

Monday, 40 students taking the Manufacturing, Power & Process Operations Technology course at Northwest High School learned about what Lozier is doing in Manufacturing and the Sponsorship for the Trades Program. The Omaha school course is a dual enrollment class where high school students receive college credit from Metropolitan Community College (MCC). The course provides education and training related to manufacturing in everything from safety, instrumentation and processes control, to maintenance procedures and programs.

Community Outreach & Engagement Specialist Ralph Kleinsmith was out again Wednesday, this time at Fort Calhoun High School speaking juniors and sophomores enrolled in various skilled trades classes at school and MCC. Those students at the Fort Calhoun, Nebraska school were all evaluating choosing careers in Skilled Trades such as Tool & Die, Diesel mechanic, construction, electrician, manufacturing, electrical mechanical technician and more.

As a result of the visit, a few students asked to learn more about Lozier and will take the next step to tour Lozier’s operations in Omaha to gain a better understanding careers in manufacturing.
