Bellevue West students interested in Manufacturing Careers tour Omaha’s operation

A few Bellevue West high school students taking dual enrollment courses at Metropolitan Community College visited Lozier Thursday. Brand Manager Josh Gear and Community Outreach & Engagement Manager Ralph Kleinsmith provided a talk and tour to the dozen students pursuing a career in Skilled Trades. Career options the students are vying today are welding, construction management, heavy equipment operator, electrician, pipe fitter and automotive or diesel technicians.

After the tour and lunch, a couple of the students said they were going to look further into a possible career as a Precision Machinist or an Electrical Mechanical Technician because of Lozier’s Sponsorship for the Trades program. Part of the Omaha metro area, Bellevue Public Schools have also a stand alone career center where the students can participate.
