Sponsorship for the Trades Program Draws Interest at Metropolitan Community College and Bennington High School Events

HR Generalist I Kassandra Blatchford and Community Engagement & Outreach Manager Ralph Kleinsmith presented at Metropolitan Community College’s (MCC) South Campus Friday. The pair spoke to 16 students and their parents about Sponsorship for the Trades opportunities, Lozier’s education and work program that offers a degree and work experience in CNC and Tool and Die Technology or Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technology.

The juniors and seniors came from six Omaha high schools and are part of a program organized by educators Nadia Williams and Ethan Shaffar, who brought students specifically interested in Lozier’s Sponsorship program. There are more than 250 students at MCC who are recipients of a sponsorship program similar to Lozier’s which offers no-cost education and a guaranteed job after graduation.

Bennington High School held its fourth Annual Career Fair Wednesday morning. Lozier joined more than 50 other industry partners and local colleges/universities at the event in Bennington, Nebraska. During Lozier’s first time at the event, Kleinsmith promoted careers in manufacturing and skilled trades to the 1,000 students in attendance.
