In its third year, the employee-led Lozier Community Grant program supported 57 nonprofit organizations across the country in 2024. Recipients were selected by employee committees in all five Lozier locations. 

These are the 2024 recipient organizations’ stories of impact shared on LozierLink. 

Providing assistance to patients fighting cancer, the Nebraska Cancer Specialists (NCS) Hope Foundation is a lifeline for individuals and families choosing between paying for medication or their mortgage. With a mission to empower individuals, families and caregivers in Nebraska impacted by cancer, it hopes to build a community where every cancer patient gets the services they need to thrive.

Lozier Community Grants supported NCS Hope Foundation’s Hope Assistance Program, providing financial support to those most vulnerable to financial distress from cancer treatment’s effect on people’s ability to work or pay bills. Knowing that financial distress can lead to worse treatment outcomes, the Hope Assistance program supports 5 – 50 cancer patients and their households each week. This kind of assistance keeps people in their homes, avoids utility shut offs and reduces the cost of medical expenses not covered by insurance and more.
