Lozier was invited to speak to more than 80 Papillion LaVista High School students participating in SkillsUSA Industrial Technology courses which include wood working, construction, welding and metal fabrication. SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit education association that promotes and supports careers in the trades for middle school through college students. Lozier supports its spring State competitions where many of Lozier’s Skilled Trades technicians have participated.
Recognizing Skilled Trades’ growing popularity, Papillion Educator and SkillsUSA Board Member Roger Campbell started a new program called Trades Tuesdays at the high school. Lozier was one of the first industry partners to speak to the students about the Manufacturing industry and careers in Skilled Trades.
Community Outreach & Engagement Manager Ralph Kleinsmith spoke with the Papillion, Nebraska students on Tuesday and shared Lozier’s latest engagement tool, the mini shelf top keychain maker. Several Sponsorship for the Trades students including Tyler McQuinn, Aaron Adams and Justin Warren are graduates of the Papillion School District and many employees have children in the school system, some of whom attended the Trades Tuesday event.
