Veterans Memorial Pool mini golf gets a facelift, improving entertainment for kids with the support of the Lozier Community grants

In its third year, the employee-led Lozier Community Grant program supported 57 nonprofit organizations across the country in 2024. Recipients were selected by employee committees in all five Lozier locations. These are the 2024 recipient organizations’ stories of impact.

Started with the mission to provide free access to a pool, the Veterans Memorial Pool is the only of its kind in the area. Serving children and families from around Snyder, Mifflin and Juniata counties in central Pennsylvania, it hosts more than 300 visitors per day in the summer months. The pool honors veterans of all military branches and service time periods.

In conjunction with its pool service, it offers a mini golf course at a nominal charge to play. Board President Adam Ewing said support to improve the course can be harder to find and was thankful for the Lozier Community Grant.
