In its second year, the employee-led Lozier Community Grant program supported 50 nonprofit organizations across the country. Recipients were selected by employee committees in all five Lozier locations. Over the next couple of months, the recipient organizations’ stories of impact will be shared on LozierLink.
Operating in 13 states across the country, Mosaic in Omaha works to empower people with disabilities, mental and behaviors health needs and aging adults to live their best lives. For 110 years, Mosaic has served its community and built programs to make their desires a reality, honoring individual choice.
As part of its mission, Mosaic in Omaha is building the Serenity Park near its Grandview Day Hub, turning the grassy area connected to its building into an ADA-accessible park. To be completed in stages, Mosaic hopes the park will be used by those it serves and the surrounding community, improving interaction opportunities between the two groups.

“The goal of the hub locations are to be near activities and opportunities for community involvement,” said Resource Development Manager Angie Tunink. “By adding an ADA-accessible Serenity Park just south of this hub, on land Mosaic already owns, we feel that inclusion within the community will greatly increase.”
Mosaic in Omaha expects more than 100 program participants spanning four counties will use the park alongside the communities in the areas they serve. Mosaic in Omaha also provides Mosaic at Home services and 24-hour care facilities for the population it serves.
