Promoting the future of Manufacturing and Skilled Trades, Lozier made a major impression on Omaha high school students Friday.
Lozier was part of the Omaha Public Schools Career Center Job Fair, featuring dozens of employers in a wide variety of industries. Representing Lozier was Community Outreach & Engagement Manager Ralph Kleinsmith, who spent the entire day chatting with students of all ages.
A major part of his pitch was the Sponsorship for the Trades program, which recently closed applications for Omaha students (The Scottsboro Sponsorship window is still open, with applications being accepted through April 15). Kleinsmith answered questions about Lozier’s opportunities in Welding, Maintenance, Tool & Die and production jobs in general.
The OPS Career Center provides focused, high-quality career pathways to 10th-12th grade students throughout the district. The pathways provide opportunities like internships and work-based learning, industrial credentials and certifications and competitive opportunities like SkillsUSA.
Lozier has supported the Career Center for many years, through plant tours, professional advisement and material donations.
