Omaha’s Buena Vista High School sophomores are set for summer employment, thanks in part to employees at Lozier.
The school hosted a mock interview opportunity April 18 and 19. With nearly two dozen of employers on hand to help, more than 300 students prepared resumes and cover letters before speaking with staff.
Gutierrez and Kleinsmith were two of the many volunteers sharing their professional insight with Buena Vista High School students.
Lozier was on hand for the event, with Community Outreach & Engagement Manager Ralph Kleinsmith and HR Specialist Maggy Gutierrez sharing their talents and tips with the group. The event was extra special for Gutierrez, whose niece was one of the sophomores participating.
Each industry partner provided feedback, guiding both students and staff on the strong points and areas for improvement. Lozier has been a proud supporter of student development at Buena Vista High School, with Communcation & Community Outreach Strategist Josh Gear serving on the school’s advisory board for mechatronics students.
