Participating in community, Lozier employees were active Friday at Women in Manufacturing (WiM) and Nebraska Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (NHCC) events.
Friday morning, Benefits Specialist Janell Severson represented Lozier at the NHCC meeting. She was one of nearly 100 people at the event, hosted at downtown Omaha’s WoodmenLife building. Severson is one of many who represent Lozier at NHCC meetings, including Maria Vasquez, Diana Martinez and Ralph Kleinsmith.
More than 80 students, educators and industry partners attended the WiM event Friday afternoon. A guest panel of industry professionals and current MCC students spoke, taking questions of students from a number of Nebraska high Schools. Director of People, Communications and Marketing Hannah Bolte emceed the event at Metropolitan Community College’s South campus. Discussion and questions surrounded careers and skill pathways in manufacturing. Later, the students participated in a hands-on demonstration at MCC’s welding lab and met with career specialists from a number of manufacturing operations.
